για 9 παραστάσεις στη Θεσσαλονίκη

στο Δημοτικό Θέατρο Καλαμαριάς Μελίνα Μερκούρη

Μια από τις πιο επιτυχημένες καλλιτεχνικά και εμπορικά παραστάσεις της χρονιάς και του Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών και Επιδαύρου, μια παράσταση για τους καθημερινούς ανθρώπους που υπέστησαν και προχώρησαν την Ιστορία αυτής της χώρας, επιστρέφει ανανεωμένη και με καινούρια εκδοχή, για 9  παραστάσεις στη Θεσσαλονίκη και το Δημοτικό Θέατρο Καλαμαριάς ‘Μελίνα Μερκούρη’.

Το κείμενο της παράστασης βασίζεται σε αφηγήσεις αληθινών περιστατικών, τα οποία διαδραματίστηκαν τα τελευταία 100 χρόνια της σύγχρονης ελληνικής ιστορίας και παράλληλα με μεγάλα ιστορικά γεγονότα. Από τα χρόνια του πρώτου κύματος της μετανάστευσης στην Αμερική, τις άγνωστες ιστορίες της Κατοχής, τους βομβαρδισμούς της Θεσσαλονίκης, τις εκατέρωθεν απώλειες του Εμφυλίου, τους σεισμούς των Επτανήσων, τις δεκαετίες του ’50 και του ’60 με τον κόσμο στα γήπεδα, την ανέγερση του Τείχους στο Βερολίνο, τον αναγκαστικό επαναπατρισμό των Αιγυπτιωτών, τον έρωτα στα χρόνια της Χούντας και την άνοδο του ΠΑΣΟΚ στην εξουσία, ως τους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του 2004, οι άνθρωποι ζούνε τις μικρές τους ιστορίες κάτω από τη σκιά της επίσημης Ιστορίας της χώρας. Για να καταλήξουμε στην πολύ εύστοχη απορία μιας από τις κυρίες που αφηγήθηκαν τη ζωή τους: «Δεν θα μεγαλώσει μια γενιά σ’ αυτόν τον τόπο, που να μην έχει το βουλοκέρι της ιστορίας πάνω της;»

 

Σημείωμα Σκηνοθέτη

Η ζωή πάντα βρίσκει τον τρόπο να προχωράει.

Αφορμή για αυτή την παράσταση ήταν η πρόσφατη απώλεια του παππού μου. Για να προλάβουν να ειπωθούν οι ιστορίες, που κατά κάποιον τρόπο έφτιαξαν αυτό που είμαστε σήμερα. Οι συναντήσεις με ηλικιωμένους έγιναν σε δύο φάσεις. Η πρώτη κράτησε 13 μήνες μέχρι την άνοιξη του 2012 και η δεύτερη, από τη μέρα της πρώτης παράστασης και συνεχίζεται μέχρι σήμερα.

Οι άνθρωποι μεγαλύτερης ηλικίας έχουν –τις περισσότερες φορές– μια ακόρεστη ανάγκη να μιλήσουν. Αντί οποιουδήποτε άλλου σημειώματος θα διαλέξω ορισμένες από τις φράσεις που μας είπαν, πίνοντας καφέδες, τρώγοντας τσουρέκι ή παίζοντας φλογέρα σε ένα ΚΑΠΗ: «Η ζωή είναι μια στιγμή, άμα την πάρεις έτσι, ποοοοπ και τελείωσε!», «Είχαμε όλο τα πολιτικά, όχι θα μπει αυτός, θα μπει ο άλλος, μια ζωή αυτό…», «Εγώ θέλω αγάπη», «Δεν είναι η ύλη που σε κάνει ευτυχισμένο», «Οι άνθρωποι ξοδεύουν τη μισή τους ζωή…μιλώντας για την άλλη μισή», «Το παρελθόν είναι το πώς το λέμε, το πώς το αφηγούμαστε», «Ακόμη και σε αυτή την ηλικία, ψάχνω έναν άνθρωπο να με ερωτευθεί πραγματικά, γιατί εγώ έχω ρίξει πολύ κλάμα για τον έρωτα»

Five young performers travelled all over Greece (from Athens to Thessaloniki, Crete, Mykonos, Corfu, Amorgos etc) for 13 months, interviewed senior citizens and asked them to remember the single, significant story that changed their life.

Out of 85 different stories, they picked those that were more attached to historical events and enact on stage true episodes that happened during the declaration of War by the Italians, the invasion of Greece by the Germans, the build of the Berlin Wall, the Coup of the Generals, the immigration to Germany, Australia and Canada, the rise of the Social-democratic party of Andreas Papandreou until the Athens Olympic Games in 2004.

The final play is a mosaic of unwritten short stories of the everyday life, which sometimes loses its way, but insists on wanting to be happy in a parallel world under the official, recorded History

The performance premiered at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival in June 2012 with great success and received outstanding reviews from the press. Since then, Sons and Daughters has been performed in continuous sold-out nights in Athens and has been touring both in Greece and Europe.

SFORARIS THEATRE COMPANY

Sforaris Theatre Company was founded in 2006 by five graduates of Fine Arts School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Drama Department) specializing in acting, directing and theatre studies. The company presented productions at the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, Deutsches Theater Berlin, CSS Teatro Stabile in Udine, BIOS Exploring Urban Culture, Michalis Kakoyiannis Foundation, Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and in various venues and festivals across Greece.

Our next performance will be in Serajevo, at Serajevo Winter Festival, on March 2014.
